There is only one BOCA Thread Lift for Lips ( formerly known as Happy Lift). It is a relatively short and simple procedure, but with a long-lasting, natural outcome. It involves a miniature thread being passed through the lips at strategic points, in order to tighten the skin and create a lifting effect. The doctor uses a cannula (thin tube) to insert the threads, which are of a similar fineness to a human hair. This control allows you to perfect, define and enhance the shape of your lips.
Our ground-breaking threads from BOCA are made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is a synthetic, biocompatible material that your body safely absorbs over time. In addition, BOCA threads also contain Caprolactone. This is a substance that stimulates the production of collagen, the structural protein that gives skin its strength. In the first few weeks, you’ll notice that your lips will gain in plumpness, making them appear fresher and more radiant.
Caprolactone is superior to the Polydioxanone (PDO), which is found in more traditional thread lifts. This is because it delivers longer lasting results for up to three years, which, if maintained, can become more permanent.
